26 ноября в Gocheok Sky Dome в Сеуле состоялась ежегодная церемония награждения премией Melon Music Awards 2022. Это первая с начала пандемии COVID-19 церемония, прошедшая при полном зале зрителей.
Шоу транслировалось в прямом эфире через KakaoTV, Wavve, U-NEXT (Япония), CXO Media (Индонезия), FPT Play (Вьетнам) и YouTube (по всему миру — 1theK).
Четыре главных приза распределились следующим образом: Album of the Year назван IM HERO Им Ён Уна, группа IVE получила Best Song of the Year за Love Dive, награда Record of the Year присуждена BTS за альбом Proof и, наконец, дэсан Artist of the Year получил Им Ён Ун.
